Rick began his career in insurance in 1989 after graduating with a BA in Business from the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point. A Wisconsin native, he moved to the Chicagoland area and immersed himself in the employee benefits business providing comprehensive solutions and top quality service to entrepreneurs. In January of 1993, he became one himself opening the doors of R.A.K. Agency.
As a business owner, Rick understands the needs and concerns of his clients. He understands the burden the current regulatory environment places on us all. His knowledge of the marketplace, group health plans, ancillary and voluntary options, and participation/contribution strategies enables him to structure a program to fit the owners’ specific objectives. He prides himself on the long-term relationships he has with clients who trust that he’s got this end of their business covered.
Married for 21 years, Rick is most often found on the sidelines at one of his three children’s sporting events. When he is not working or attending local athletic events, he enjoys softball and golf.

Kurt Kaufmann is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin at Oshkosh, where he attained a BA in Accounting and Operations Management before joining his brother at R.A.K. Agency in 2006. In addition to providing service to group client accounts, Kurt is adept at determining the needs of individual clients, providing analysis of available options in the marketplace in order to balance costs and benefits. He acts as an advocate helping clients with enrollment, explanation of benefits, and claims issues.
As an independent agent, Kurt understands the challenge of paying for individual insurance for himself and his family. He understands how important getting the right coverage can be to a family’s peace of mind.
Kurt is married and father to an infant son. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and working on his golf game.
